the family behind the shop

A family-run plant shop with the door always open.

We’re The NoCo Clover — a houseplant and home-decor shop in Wellington, Colorado, run by our family. We’re also foster parents, and that shapes everything about how this little shop feels.

Our Story

When we opened The NoCo Clover, we wanted it to feel less like a store and more like walking into a friend’s sunroom — the kind of place where you can take your time, ask the “dumb” question, and leave with something green that you’ll actually keep alive. We’re a family business in every sense: you’ll see us behind the counter, and you’ll probably hear about our family if you stick around long enough.

Being foster parents has taught us that “family” is a bigger, more open word than most people assume. It’s about making room — for people, for second chances, for whoever walks through the door that day. We tried to build a shop that carries that same spirit: welcoming, patient, and genuinely glad you came in.

“There’s no such thing as a silly plant question. If you’re here, you’re already doing the hard part.” — the NoCo Clover family

Why local makers share our shelves

From the start, we knew we didn’t just want to sell plants. Northern Colorado is full of artists and makers doing beautiful, careful work — potters, woodworkers, candle-makers, fiber artists — and a lot of them don’t have an easy storefront of their own. So we made room. Our shelves hold hand-glazed planters, ceramics, and handmade goods right alongside the greenery.

When you buy a piece from us, you’re often buying directly from a neighbor’s workshop. That matters to us. It’s why we call it bringing NoCo artistry to Wellington — it’s not a slogan, it’s the actual job.

Come in and say hi

Whether you’re a seasoned plant person or you’ve killed every succulent you’ve ever owned, you’re welcome here. Bring a photo of that tricky corner. Tell us about the window that never gets sun, or the bright kitchen that fries everything. We’ll help you find something that’ll grow with you — and we’ll be here when you have questions later, too.
